I completely agree with your submission about health care. I first caught wind about things like this several years ago while listening to Dave Ramsey. Seems a Canadian had broken her arm and it set before she could get medical attention. Ouch.

On a side note; I wouldn’t mind throwing in an article or two every once in a while. It’s mandatory that I read the Wall Street Journal for 3 classes… I could easily discuss some global issues and actually sound knowledgeable now.

I say have that cake and eat it too. The opposite of love is indifference, not hate. The fact that you are speaking out on what you think is harming your country shows you are proud of your country. If you weren’t, you wouldn’t even bother.

The definition of “patriot” has been misconstrued by the Republican party since 9/11. People who have any qualms with the leadership or culture of America are told they don’t love their country. Being proud of your country doesn’t mean blindly accepting everything that goes on there. It means making the effort to improve your country.

Criticism of societal and governmental wrongs is not Un-American. Rather, it is quintessential to being an American. That is something we should not forget.
